Back in November I got to work with Reina & Mark on their wedding! It was stunning, simple, and fun.

Aileen Secord is an incredible photographer who really captures that magical essence of your day. I love working with her and can't wait for all the summer weddings we have booked!

Reina & Mark's perfect sunset reception

For those of you who were in and around Malibu last night, You must have noticed how it felt like a July night, with the most perfect sunset!

For Reina and Mark the day could not have been nicer. The pair were married at St. Bernadine's Catholic church, followed by a reception at one of our favorite venues, The Malibu West Beach Club.

From the start of planning with these two, they really had a great sense of what they wanted. Mark, along with his entire family, are musicians. They went with a a live band set up for the music all night! It was great to see different people over and over get up and play any instrument that was provided.

The bride chose great grey, and pink tones for her colors. I just LOVE how they had personalized guitar picks for their guests!!

Reina & Mark's Engagement Session by the Wonderful Aileen Secord!

Meet Reina & Mark!

Another wonderful couple with Grace

Reina and Mark both attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. They met at the Catholic Student Union, a youth group for college students, in 2002. After years of friendship and playing music together the two fell in love.

Mark proposed to Reina on Friday September 4th 2009. Mark asked Reina to meet him for lunch at the Bluffs park, (Reina works at Pepperdine) As she got there she noticed that he was not alone, Mark was accompanied by a miniature Australian Shepherd puppy, the very one they had visited a week before. (they had been discussing the possibilities for months) Reina was so overwhelmed by the puppy, but in even more shock when she turned around and Mark was down on one knee. After a few happy tears and excited giggles, Reina finally noticed the diamond ring tied to the couples new puppy. Needless to say Mark made Reina the happiest girl in the world!


The couple plan to get married at St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church in Woodland Hills, California. With the reception her in Malibu at The Malibu West Beach Club!! We are going for Pinks and Silver with classic style banquette seating... Keep checking back for updates on their big day!!
