Brooke and Craig's Backyard Wedding

My First Backyard Wedding, and wow what an amazing event!!! This couple is so incredible and so loved by their family and friends, that this wedding went off with a big bang! With a brand new backyard at their new home, it was the perfect place for them to say 'I Do!'  Flowers by Beth Behler of Portland Oregon were fantastic!  With Beth's eye for details, and my organization we were able to transform Brooke and Craig's backyard into a Fairy Tale land with tenting, market lighting, floating candles in the pool, white lanterns, and flowers, flowers, flowers!!!  I Most of all loved the Bride's color choices of white roses, purple tulips, green and white hydrangias, green cymbidiums, and white fresia's! Her girls all wore their own simple black dresses -- they all looked fantastic! The couple wanted it to be a casual atmosphere filled with love and laughter, and that was sure was accomplished.

Danielle & Steve June 2009

This event was so much fun! Danielle and Steve are such an incredible couple... when they first came to me, the most important thing for them was for the wedding to be fun, memorable, and full of FOOD! And boy was it! We had In N' Out come along with D'amore's Pizza of Malibu, as well dessert by Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Bar, and a late night taco bar.  With the amazing help of Carrie from CFS Design, the flowers lighting and decor were perfect.  I love how the passion Danielle and Steve have for each other came out the entire evening!!!  And Love the Family Style Wedding!!!!

Details I Love from 2009

It was so wonderful to get to work with Miriam Geer, Topanga-based photographer who has captured so many intimate moments in people's lives. Along with Photographer Mike Larson, Jaqui of Jaqui's Cakes, Maiden Malibu Invitations, and CFS Designs. I want to thank you for helping create these beautiful moments.

Rain or Shine, the show must go on!

I am so fortunate to get to work in such an incredible place. Malibu is not only home, but my main place of work as well. Having worked in many different venues around Malibu, I have to say that Malibu West is one of my favorites. I love the ambiance and the romance that being at the beach offers. It is pretty much hit or miss with the rain when it comes between October and April. When the rain does come we are able to tent the patio, and still have a beautiful ceremony. As well as if the rain comes out of nowhere, it usually always provides the most glorious sunsets and rainbows ever! They do say it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day! For Gloria and Mike, it was just that -  they had an intimate, fun, and incredibly memorable wedding, rain and all! With their 1-year-old daughter Hailey's birthday falling on Dec. 12th they thought, "Why not get married that day too?!" So we had a Wedding/Birthday party where Pisco Sours and Love were all around!

Malibu West Beach Club Christmas Party 2009

I Love Christmas!! Especially when it involves Tra Di Noi, Dandy Dons Ice Cream Bar, and Santa! This was such a fun event to do. With the designs of Carrie, CFS Design, including the Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree, we had a winter "Dinner by the Fire" themed Christmas Party. Local Resident Antonio (and owner of Tra Di Noi,) catered with incredible pasta dishes, appetizers, and salads that were mouthwatering. We had an Ice Cream Sunday bar by Dandy Don's with everything from Chocolate Fudge to Lemon Sorbet. And... what would a Christmas party be without Santa!

2009 Weddings

Wow, What year - I started 2009 with a exciting bookings. I had Nicolette and Adam in June, which was by far one of my favorites. I worked with Nikki one-on-one to perfect her Wedding Day Dream. From all the late night texting to the the endless Starbucks meetings, we put together an incredible night that was memorable and timeless. With photography by Miriam Geer, Nikki and Adam's day was captured in such a wonderful way. What I appreciated most about working with Nikki was her love for her FiancĂ© Adam. They met when Nikki was only 13 and it was love at first sight. They now reside in Redondo Beach, CA with their dog Clark, and are coming up on their 1st Anniversary!  Among the other weddings I did that year, Andreanna & Eric also stand out; this lovely couple met at UCLA, both in the last semester of school.  They were struggling to make the wedding of their dreams come true. With the help of Carrie of CFS Design, we created an amazing August afternoon wedding. From the 12,000 roses used, to the home-made chocolate-covered espresso beans (by the bride), to the wish card tree (as the guestbook,) this wedding was one to remember. Thank you to Mike Larson of Mike Larson Photography for the breathtaking memories!
