I just finished Stephanie and Diego's wedding invitations! They turned out great. I went with a soft ivory tone to compliment the sage and orange colors the bride chose. The couple wanted something formal for their beach destination wedding here in Malibu. Perfect for an August wedding!

It's all in the details.....
Emma had these great toiletries for both the guests restrooms. As well for the girls who just can't make it all night in those high heels (myself included) Purple sandals from Old Navy, simple and practical!
Such a fun idea for a lil something extra for your guests.

Emma & Andrew
It it my pleasure to introduce you to this incredible couple, Emma & Andrew Seitz! I cannot begin to express what a wonderful experience it was to work with them on their big day. When Emma first came to me about her wedding I was so impressed on how calm she was. Not only was this a woman who was planning her wedding in less than 5 months, but she as well was cramming for her finals. You see both her and her fiance were in the process of graduating from Pepperdine Law School. (ya wow)
So we sat down and started to cover all the details..... She had most of it figured out with a few final touches we made happen. I absolutely LOVE her color choices. The gold and silver together accented the purple tones just perfect! Carrie of CFS Designs. did an exquisite job of capturing exactly what the bride wanted. I love getting to work with Carrie cause I know it is all going to be done perfect!! It was a classic sit down dinner with food done by the brides sister, and cake by Jamacia of Jamacia's Cakes. (thanks again lady!) Professional photography was done by Lori English, and I CAN'T WAIT to see the final pictures. For now here are a few that I shot myself...enjoy:)

LOVE
So I can't stand it.... just a little bit more before the big reveal for Emma & Andrew :) Not only did they get married Monday May 24th, but they BOTH graduated from Pepperdine Law school on Friday May 21st!! This couple was such a joy to work with from start to finish. We had quite the weekend with both festivities plus the rehearsal dinner at Charlies Malibu on Sunday. On of my favorite parts was the couple in Emma's father's old T-Bird (which was brought in his honor) LOVE
Daily Inspiration
ok...... where to begin but WOW!!!! Emma & Andrew have not only been the best couple to work with but their wedding went off without a hitch! Such a perfect day for this incredible couple. I wish them the best of luck as they embark on this amazing journey. With incredible pictures to come I wanted to share one of my favorites for my daily inspiration.....

Safe from the Sun
For Liz & Steve's July 17th 2010 wedding, they really wanted to go "Beach Themed" Since they are both from the east coast and are doing a Destination wedding here in MALIBU! They are having a pretty small wedding and we are doing the entire thing outside at the Malibu West Beach Club. With the ceremony beginning at 4:30 in the afternoon Liz wanted to give her guests something practical. I suggested paper parasols. They are pretty, and perfect for keeping the sun off you on that hot summer day! Your guests will thank you in the end. I also suggest having sunscreen available for those who forgot it. Some people (even when you tell them) forget how strong the sun is. I made custom luggage tags with a simple hand written message from the bride and groom. Everyone gets to take one home!

Simple and Sweet
With only 9 MORE DAYS until Emma and Andrews wedding, I decided to choose this awesome gold paper for their reception menu. I love how the palm tree came out ever so slightly. Her sister is catering the event and let me say the food sounds AMAZING! I can't wait for this one to come :)

Black and White and Wonderful
Keeping with the "Classic" theme this week, I wanted to share some of my favorite black and whites from a few of my 2009 wedding. Black and white never fails when is comes to capturing an incredible moment. I love incorporating old B & W family photos as well.

Yummy!
I am so open to all ideas when it comes to Wedding cake. I have done so many cupcakes, dessert bars, and candy bars, but as well I always appreciate the Classic wedding cake. These are just a few from my 2009 weddings that I loved. Plus the last one of my dear girlfriend's wedding, she had an incredible dessert bar in addition to a great cupcake set up! Love you Laura and Kyle:)

It all starts with an Invitation...
My real start in the wedding world came from invitations, I started Maiden Malibu Invitations with a few handmade samples, and some BIG ideas.... I so much enjoy the paper stuff involved with weddings, from the actual invite to the place cards, menus and programs. It's a fun process for any Bride and Groom, because they are always great keepsakes. In my opinion the invitations, menus, programs, etc., really set the overall feel for an event. They're the first thing people see regarding your wedding. The best part is you really can create anything. Here are a few of my favorite's that I've done.

Aileen Seccord and CFS Design LLC.
This wedding was so simple yet stunning by the help of two of my favorite vendors...
Carrie Fick-Sawyer is my "right hand woman" when it come to design, decor, floral work and lighting. She really knows how to transform a room, and truly has the best attention to detail. I love getting to work with her on all my weddings. Aileen Seccord Photography is another FAV vendor of mine. Her Pictures really capture the essence of an event. Excited to work with both of these talented ladies more, and keep those weddings special!
